Stuffed Meatballs Recipe

Very delicious!

>>>See all my recipes here!<<<

Stuffed Meatballs Recipe - (Main Dishes, Beef)

Quote For The Day:

"Cooking is not about convenience and it's not about shortcuts. Our hunger for the twenty-minute gourmet meal, for one-pot ease and prewashed, precut ingredients has severed our lifeline to the satisfactions of cooking. Take your time. Take a long time. Move slowly and deliberately and with great attention." - Thomas Keller

Food For Thought:

Would you try this?

With the warmer weather I had the opportunity to try one of these PICKLE-ICE FLAVORED FREEZE POPS. I challenge you to give them a try. I love pickles and these freeze pops are designed to hydrate you. I do admit that when I tried this it did cause me to make a sour face. It was uncontrollable. Every bite of this pickle freeze pop made my face contort.

They have an incredible dill flavor. They have electrolytes in them so they help with hydration. They are sugar-free, kosher, and fat-free. They are made in Wisconsin. This particular pickle freeze pop is 2 ounces and with the sour pickle flavor they seem like more than that.

This product is from a small business so if it is important to you to support small businesses you might be interested in them. If you try them please let me know what you think of them. I would love to read your feedback.

If you don't like dill pickle flavor but want to stay hydrated there are different freeze pops you can try. It is important to stay hydrated in the warmer weather. It is only going to get warmer this summer.

Some Questions For You:

  • Do you like pickles? Pickles would be a great side with these Stuffed Meatballs.
  • Have you made Stuffed Meatballs before? If you have a good recipe please share it here.
  • What side dish do you think goes well with Stuffed Meatballs? A salad might be a good choice.
  • Did you see my recipe from yesterday? It is called Strawberry Cake And Frosting Recipe. It will make a good dessert to go with Stuffed Meatballs.

More Information For You:

Meatballs date back to the Roman times. An old cookbook called Cookery and Dinning in Imperial Rome is a 1st century cookbook by Apicius. It features a meatball recipe. Another fact is meatballs were born in ancient Persia. If you would like to learn more interesting facts about meatballs you can visit MUNCHERY and read their post called Meatballs for All: This Ancient Food is Still a Home-Cooked Hit.

My Thoughts On Stuffed Meatballs:

I love the texture and taste of stuffed meatballs. The onions, celery, and spices that are in the seasoned croutons taste nice. The finished recipe is worth the time because of the flavor these stuffed meatballs provide. The baked sauce mingles nice with the meatball stuffing. You are sure to get compliments from whoever tastes your creation. Bread is a choice for me when eating stuffed meatballs. A nice butter and garlic bread tastes delicious. The first time I had stuffed meatballs was as a child and I have loved them from that time.

  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Top with Parmesan cheese if desired. This makes 5 to 6 servings.

Thoughts On Stuffed Bell Peppers:

As a child, I wasn't fond of vegetables at dinner time but I always ate them when served for dinner. That's how I was raised but when my mother made stuffed bell peppers I really enjoyed them. They have always been one of my favorite foods. Stuffed Bell Peppers have a flavor that stands out and many people want them. Some recipes add other seasonings but I think the simplicity of this recipe helps the bell pepper flavor to stand out.

More Information For You:

Stuffed Bell Pepper began to show in American recipes around the 1890s. There are variations of the recipe from Spain, India, Mexico, Hungary, Romania, and the Philippines. Can you guess how the bell pepper got its name? Learn more interesting facts about this food and recipes from other countries by visiting The Cookful.

My Thoughts For Today:

For those with a DREAM!

My wife bought me a T-shirt. As a Missouri resident, I do play the Missouri lottery on occasion. I don't spend a lot, just a dollar or two. The dream of winning the lottery lives in most of us. I have won small amounts but I believe I will hit a jackpot. When I do you can be sure I will share my adventure with you here.

What would you do if you won the lottery jackpot? It is fun to think about. Maybe you would share with family and friends. You could take an exotic vacation and experience what it is like to live in financial freedom. Can you imagine it? I try to live each day with the feeling of being a lottery winner. I think with gratitude for all the blessings in my life. I am grateful for family, friends, and health. This is the real state I try to live in every day. Do you do this? Even if it is a cup of coffee at home where the quietness of life can be enjoyed, it can be something to be grateful for. Can you list some of your blessings? I believe you can if you think about it. Give it a try!

Mix in green beans, peas, mixed veggies, sliced potatoes, corn, kidney beans, and stewed tomatoes, and stir well between adding each can. Fill the pot with vegetable juice until it is 1 inch from the top of the pot. Add black pepper, Tobasco sauce, crushed red pepper, and sugar, then salt to taste. Place lid on top and simmer on very low for 30 minutes.

My Thoughts On Best Beef Vegetable Soup:

I worked on this recipe for about two years. I searched for basic ingredients for a beef vegetable soup and slowly added other ingredients until I felt I had a great-tasting soup. I like to say my "secret" ingredient in this recipe is the On The Border medium salsa. Adding salt to your taste will bring out the flavor of the salsa. Everyone who tastes this soup recipe says it's the BEST they ever had. Try it for yourself and see what you think. This is a big pot recipe and will work great for large gatherings.

More Information On Beef Vegetable Soup:

Beef vegetable soup can have a variety of vegetables. This soup dates back to Roman times. In America, its history is considered a "country" soup. You may notice what vegetables are missing from my recipe. You can add or omit the vegetables you like best. Keep the other ingredients the same and you will hit on the flavor I created for this soup recipe. Learn more about Vegetable Soup here.

Questions For You:

Do you like beef vegetable soup? Do you have a recipe to share? If you have a recipe to share and also a picture, I will be glad to publish it here and link it back to you for traffic and credit. Did you see yesterday's recipe? It is called East Indian Chicken Recipe and if you are an Indian food lover, I know you will enjoy the recipe.

My Thoughts For Today:

My birthday gifts!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was a good day. I enjoyed the day at home with my family. I ate good food and received birthday gifts and cards. My oldest daughter made banana cream pie for me and it is wonderful. She and her husband also gave me Dr. Squatch PINE TAR soap. It smells nice and I look forward to using it. My wife and youngest daughter gave me chicken seasoning I wrote about in a previous post and SOCAL cologne. That has been my signature scent for many years. There is a story behind that but I will spare you for now. My youngest daughter made my favorite cake called Sunshine Cake. It is a cold cake with a whipped topping that has crushed pineapple in it. What a nice day!

Dutch Oven Barbeque Beef Recipe - (Main Dishes, Beef)

Ingredients:

1 rump roast (3-4 pounds)
1 onion (medium, sliced)
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or to your taste)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 bottle catsup (14 ounces)
1-2 tablespoons brown sugar
Hamburger buns

Directions:

Place the rump roast in the Dutch oven. Combine the remaining ingredients, except the hamburger buns, and pour it over the rump roast. Cover the Dutch oven and bake at 250 degrees for 3 1/2-4 hours or until the meat is tender. Cool the meat slightly, cut into thin slices, and serve on hamburger buns.

Thoughts On Dutch Oven Barbecue Beef:

Dutch ovens are great to bake and cook with. This recipe cooks the rump roast slowly and seals in the juices along with a great aroma because of the special barbecue sauce mix. I love barbecue beef any time of the year. You can make this recipe all year round because it is baked in the oven. If you have a grill with a good thermostat that will work great for outdoor cooking. This recipe can be served with potato salad or baked beans. In the Southern parts of the United States coleslaw is served on top of the barbecue sandwich. I first learned about coleslaw in barbecue in West Tennessee. It actually tastes great!

Interesting Information For You:

The Dutch oven comes from the Netherlands. Cast iron Dutch ovens were created by Abraham Darby. If you are an outdoors person you can use a Dutch oven over a campfire. There are so many different foods that can be cooked with a Dutch oven. Dutch ovens are even commonly used in South Africa and other countries. You can visit the Wasserstrom blog to learn the history of the Dutch oven, more about its origin, all the countries where it is used, the many uses, and even how to care for your Dutch oven. You will also learn how to shop for a Dutch oven that is perfect for you.

Some Questions For You Today:

Do you own a Dutch oven? If you don't own one, maybe you have a friend who would let you borrow theirs until you purchase one. You will need one for this recipe. Have you ever eaten food cooked in a Dutch oven? Please share your experience with me. Did you see my last recipe that was posted yesterday? If you missed it, it is called Kahlua Cake Recipe and I think you will like it. Check it out!

My Thoughts For Today:

Read on to see my secret seasoning recipe for grilled pork steak.

I love cooking out on the charcoal grill. I know propane is quicker but I love the charcoal flavor that gets into the meat. I bought pork steak and seasoned it my special way. I am glad to share what I use here. In past posts, I have mentioned how much I like Tony Cachere's Creole seasoning. That's my secret for pork steak. I begin by sprinkling black pepper on my steaks and then follow up with Tony Cachere's Creole seasoning. I rub it in the meat really well and I carefully season the whole meat. Not too much but completely seasoned. My pork steak has a spicy taste to it so if you have delicate taste buds you might want to use less. You just have to experiment.

The beans, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and potato salad were all store-bought. It is the holiday weekend Memorial Day on Monday so I am sure we will eat more food like this before going back to work.

Keep on cooking!

My Thoughts For The Day:

Texas Fajitas - (video below)

It was a good Mother's Day yesterday. We celebrated at El Patron Mexican Grill in Seymour, Missouri. We had Texas Fajitas with queso, corn chips, and guacamole that was made fresh. The Texas Fajitas included chicken, beef, and shrimp. The atmosphere was very nice and they had plenty of decorations inside. The outside of the restaurant had a small decorative water mill. It didn't have water in it but it was very nice to look at. The tree outside next to the entrance had beautiful flowers on it. I created a video of our visit to El Patron on my YouTube channel called El Patron Mexican Grill Seymour Missouri that you can see. Remember to subscribe, like, and leave a comment on my video. I would recommend this Mexican restaurant for you to try.

I love dining out and trying different places. I will leave reviews for you to see. If you have been to El Patron Mexican Grill please feel free to leave your review of the restaurant here.

My Thoughts:

You can go right with meat and potatoes. They are the best for sure. I hope that you enjoy this Hamburger Potato Casserole Easy Recipe. While growing up my mom would almost always serve me potatoes. Usually some kind of meat. The meat was most always hamburger. It was a cheaper meat for the family to eat. My mom worked for Wal-Mart and we didn't have much money. With the beef, were potatoes. She would make mashed potatoes or fried potatoes. Then she would make some kind of vegetable to go with the meal. Green beans would go with most meals. Today, I really love green beans.

Living in the mid-west, beef is such a popular thing to eat. The local cities around where I live today have some sort of steak restaurant that serves steak cuts. One of my favorite steak places to visit is the Texas Roadhouse. I really enjoy their 20-ounce bone-in ribeye steak. I always order green beans with my steak. I suppose it has something to do with my meals as a child. My mom made many different meals and always did the best she could. If you would like to read a post a made about my mother you can read it here called My Mother And All You Other Mothers.

More Information On Hamburger and Potatoes:

I found an interesting article by RollingStone on meat and potatoes you might like. I would love to know your thoughts on it. It is about fast food in America and how the focus on meat and potatoes is the main feature.

Extra:

Try adding your favorite season to this recipe. One of my favorite seasons is Tony Chachere's season. You can also try adding garlic salt to the recipe if you like garlic. I cook with minced garlic a lot. Most always when I try a new recipe I find, I add something to it to make it my own. It might be a spice or two that gives it an extra flavor.

Quick Question:

Have you ever tried this recipe I shared with you? If you cook this recipe, will you please share with me how you cooked it or if you added anything to the recipe?

Quote For The Day:

"Es wird nichts so hieb gesessen, wie es gekocht wird." - Translation "Nothing gets eaten as hot as it has been cooked." - Medium.com

Food For Thought:

The first time I had Bierocks I absolutely fell in love with them. They are so delicious! I was at a family member's house when these wonderful beef pastries first touched my palette. Ok, now I sound like a professional blogger, don't I? I remember eating two or three and then the dough swelled in my belly. I was forced to stretch out on the couch and just moan with fullness.

You should have seen me. I am sure that you are glad you didn't. It was such a sight.
If you don't mind hearing about my day I will be glad to share with you here. I cleaned up in the kitchen and worked on some laundry. After I finished those chores I visited my mother at her house. It was her birthday on Friday.

I was unable to visit her because I went to the local farmer's market with my daughter. She had about seven different cookies for sale. Her newest item was a strawberry crinkle cookie that sold out very well. One customer, in particular, was very interesting. He was almost seven feet tall by my estimation.

He sported a full beard that was speckled with gray hairs. He had bright blue eyes and spoke in the deepest voice I think I have ever heard. He was like a giant and I am 5 foot 11 inches. He softly asked my daughter if he could have two of the strawberry crinkle cookies. He slowly handed my daughter the money and took the cookies in his large hand which resembled a bunch of bananas.

He gave my daughter a little smile and said "Thank you" as he walked away. After visiting my mother at her house, my daughter wanted to go for a drive. We made a large circle on the outer paved roads here in the area. Sometimes a drive is a nice thing to do.
